Dr. Ahmad Nasef plays an important role in Hanan Wisconsin. He was part of the founding committee of Hanan Wisconsin and was deeply passionate about helping others, especially refugees. Dr. Nasef was known by everyone for his cheerful spirit, humility, and kindness. Always positive and welcoming, he made a lasting impact on the community, helping to establish many businesses for refugees across Wisconsin. To honor his legacy, Hanan Wisconsin has established the Dr. Ahmad Nasef Scholarship, which supports refugee and immigrant students in Wisconsin. Please consider donating to help continue his mission of empowering others through education.
PROGRAM GUIDELINES
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, a total annual family income under $75,000, and plan to attend a 2 or 4 year university, community college, college, or technical school.
Applicants must be a refugee or immigrant to the United States to qualify for the scholarship; citizenship is not required.
Applicants must have an endorsement from their guidance counselor on their application, attesting that they are a qualified candidate for this scholarship program.
The application deadline is 05/31/2026. Late applications will not be accepted.
Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college in August 2026 or January 2027 for the second semester of the student’s first year.
Once awarded, it will be the student’s responsibility to submit an invoice for second-semester tuition and fees, along with their student ID number and college information, to the Hanan Refugee Relief Group.
Dr. Nasef was a tireless supporter of refugee and immigrant people and a founder of Hanan Refugees Relief Group. We honor his memory by awarding scholarships to refugee and immigrant students in Wisconsin.
